Like Brother, Like Sister

Bentley has to do and have EVERYTHING Carter does. Carter would love to eat every meal on his tray, but I do make him sit at the table with all of us for dinner. So, now Bentley has to eat on her tray as well. She wants to sit on the couch with him, but she does not sit still long enough and will fall off.

Here is Carter's face on day 2

Unfortunately, It's the First of Many, I'm sure!

This precious face

Now looks like this

Carter went home with Granny and Papa yesterday after church and he and papa went for a ride on his bike and apparently Carter got away from him and started going too fast and crashed. He looks pretty rough, but I thank God this is all it was. I can assure you that Papa is much worse than Carter. This has just torn him up, he feels like its his fault. I told him these things happen and Carter even got back on a bike yesterday afternoon. After I brought Carter home, Granny and Papa showed up with tons of toys for both kids, looks like Bentley came out on the best end of that deal...LOL. Today his eye is swollen and black. Needless, to say clean-up and medicine time are AWFUL! Carter asked if God would heal him and I said absolutley, so we prayed for God to heal Carter's face and he ran to the mirror and started crying because he wasn't healed...LOL. He is VERY self conscious about it and would not even get out at Target yesterday because he said everyone will see his face...Bless his Precious Heart!!!

Pudding Anyone?

After Bentley finished her dinner, she wanted some pudding, so I just stripped her down and let her enjoy. She will NOT let us feed her anymore. She has to do EVERYTHING herself...wonder where she gets that (LOL)!

Georgia Aquarium

Joseph had a meeting in Atlanta Thursday, so Carter and I tagged along. Bentley stayed home with Nonna (Thank you mom :) We met Joseph Wednesday after he got off work and headed to Atlanta. We ate dinner at Joe's Crab Shack, then walked around the mall for a little while. On our way back to the room, Carter realized he forgot his toy, so we stopped by Toys R 'Us where he got ANOTHER Recycling Truck. That boy LOVES LOVES LOVES cars and trucks, especially UPS, Garbage and Recycling trucks. Thursday morning we dropped Joseph off at his meeting and we went to the Aquarium. It was GREAT! We both really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the Otters and Penguins and Carter enjoyed the Geico (go figure)!

When we got home, I felt bad for leaving Bentley, so I let her enjoy her new favorite thing...Chocolate Pudding

Ginger and Camden were in town, so we met them for dinner at Jim N' Nicks. The boys spent most of their time playing

McWane Center

I took the kids to the McWane Center today and Bentley LOVED it. She has been once before, but not since she has been really mobile. They were both GREAT!! Then we went to have lunch with Joseph at work and of course Carter did not want to leave.

Bentley wasn't to sure of everything at first

It didn't take her long to want to do EVERYTHING Carter did

She LOVED the piano and Carter enjoyed playing in the supermarket

Bentley was quite disappointed when someone stole some food from her buggy

Carter wanted to act like daddy and fly in a plane

This is what I came home to: Mission Accomplished :)

Do they know?

Do these two precious angels know how much I love them????

I don't think so, but it looks like they are having deep conversation about it

I love them more than they will ever know and I want to enjoy every moment of their sweet and innocent childhood!

Welcome to the World Jackson

Some of our dearest friends: Chris and Kristin welcomed their first child into the world on Friday. He was 8 lbs. 5 oz and 20 inches long and PERFECT!! We can't wait to watch these two wonderful people raise this precious gift from God. CONGRATULATIONS, we love you!

Happy 29th Birthday Joseph

This weekend we celebrated Joseph's 29th Birthday. Thursday I made his favorite dinner and dessert. He opened our gifts and we sang Happy Birthday :) Friday we went to eat Japanese at our favorite place, Stix. Carter was still a little unsure about the whole thing, but eventually warmed up. He said he wants to go back for his birthday. (We left Bentley at home; that's why she is not in any pictures)

Happy 25th Birthday to Jessie as well!!!!

My family came over and we celebrated a little more with G-mas famous chocolate sheet cake, THE BEST!

Cute and Famous (LOL)

I had the kids pictures made in December for Christmas and Bentley's First Birthday, but I didn't get a CD of them so I couldn't share them. However, they made it onto the company blog, so I thought I would share. For some reason Bentelys are a little blury. These are great Christian people and I will use them again.

SNOW 2009

Carter enjoyed playing in the snow today! His friend Cole came over and they played and played.

Bentley stayed inside while the boys threw snowballs at the window; she thought it was so funny.

Carter and Daddy

Ginger and I went out for a little while with the boys and built a snowman and threw snowballs. It was beautiful, but I enjoyed viewing it from inside. It was really cold.

Blue Marker Anyone?

Reason #101 why you don't leave a 14 month alone for 1 second

This Brought Tears to my Eyes

The other night before going to bed, Carter got in trouble for calling me stupid (he was just kidding around, but I had to punish him so he knew I was serious about not calling people that) I went to take a bath and I told him not to come in there and that he better be asleep when I got out. I did not hear him crying anymore and I knew he asleep, so when I walked out of the bathroom this is what I found

He was sound asleep next to the bathroom door. Bless his precious heart. I can't even explain to you how guilty I felt for punishing him.

Miami

Last weekend Joseph and I went to Miami and had a great time. I can't tell you the last time we went somewhere just the two of us. Last summer we went to Chicago with friends, last winter we went to New York, with friends and we always go with the kids to the beach, so it has been a while and I really enjoyed it :) The night before we left, we attended a banquet at The Club honoring Joseph who was nominated for Young Engineer of the Year. He did not win, because he actually has a life and is not nerdy enough :) (LOL) at least that's my take on why he did not win. I am very proud of him and he was very honored to be nominated :)

We left bright and early Friday morning and once we landed, we got our rental car, which did not excite Joseph; a Chrysler 300...

He dropped me off at the mall while he went to inspect his job. I enjoyed taking my time shopping all alone :) We then checked into our hotel and went to dinner and then walked around South Beach. Saturday I really wanted to take a boat tour of celebrity homes. We saw UNBELIEVEABLE homes. The lots started at $6 million and the homes averaged around $25 MILLION! A few were Rosie O'Donnell, Michelle Phifer, Shaq, P.Diddy, Vanilla Ice (before he lost it), Gloria Estefan, Oprah, Tom Cruise and many others. This one was my favorite and the biggest one there. It was the home of Dr. Frost who invented Viagra.

After the boat ride, we went to the biggest mall I have seen in my life. Just to give you a sample of how big it was a few of their anchor stores were...Bass Pro Shops, Home Goods, Burlington, Ross, Macys and every other store you can think of :) It was a nice little getaway.

Last, but not least. Joseph flys somewhere ALL the time and I had no idea how it would pay off for me :) He is Gold status on everything from Sky Miles, to Hotels, to Rental Cars...therefore we had a free plane ticket, free breakfast at the hotel, which was $50 a day, free rental car upgrade, if you consider a chrysler an upgrade :) we got to skip the long line in airport security, first to board the plane. I could keep going, but can't remember everything. So, next time I want to complain about him being gone, (which he will every week this month) I will remember the "perks" next time I go somewhere with him!
