1 More Day

Joseph comes home tomorrow from a 10 day mission trip to Brazil. Thank you Lord. For the most part it has not been bad, but I am certainly ready for some help and a little break. The picture below speaks for itself....HURRY HOME DADDY. Fruit Loops all over the floor, toys everywhere and neither of them could care less. Thank you God for these two precious angels and THANK YOU that I am not a single mommy and have a WONDERFUL husband who loves us and wants to serve you.

I Promise We Went

I promise we went to the beach, but unfortunately I have no pictures to show for it. For some reason my camera would not focus. So, just use your imagination and picture two of the most precious blonde headed kids playing in the sand and water and loving every minute of it. Joseph is still in Brazil and will be home Saturday, so his parents took the kids and I to the beach this weekend where my father-in-law hooked us up with the Penthouse at Splash. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our room with a fabulous view. The ocean was BEAUTIFUL! Very few waves and crystal clear. A HUGE thank you to my father-in-law for being such a wonderful g-parent and giving Carter ALL of his attention this weekend and for all that he did for him. Of course he loves Bentley, but she was too attached to my hip :) Carter and his Papa are very close.

On the way home I decided to take the kids to the Montgomery Zoo, which was great. The kids loved it. On the way there, Carter cracked me up. This was our conversation.

C- How much Longer?
M- About 30 more minutes
C- (Screams) Give me some gum
I proceed to give him the gum and then give Bentley a piece
C- Dont give Bentley any, I just need some to calm myself down...LOL

Shoes, Shoes, and More Shoes

If you know Carter, then you know that boy LOVES shoes. I mean he is obsessed with them. Often times he will choose getting a pair of shoes over a toy. Today we went to the mall to take advantage of the tax free weekend and the first thing he said is I need some new shoes. I said you do NOT need new shoes. After much whining from him I told him could choose a toy from the new Lego Store or get shoes and he opted for these

When we got home I was putting away his new things, which by the way, very sad day for his mommy. I bought most of his stuff today from The Gap, gasp..big boy store :( I LOVE smocked and appliqued clothing which is a majority of what he has worn the past 4 years, but now it is time to say goodbye to most of that stuff. He wont wear it anymore, he says thats for babies :( He is a boy and a VERY opinionated boy, he gets that from his mommy. I want him to have what he wants and feel good about himself. Well, he LOVES all of his new stuff and to be honest he looks really cute in it. (Thank you Lord for my baby girl who still has a few more years before she expresses concern over what I want her to wear :) However, The Gap is MUCH MUCH cheaper than the Lili Pad, my favorite childrens boutique. Anyways, as I am putting away his things, I seriously had no room on the shelves in his closet for his new pair of shoes. So, I decided to lay them out and take a picture for him to see one day. He has 25 (I forgot to lay out his Easter shoes they were in the box at the top of the closet) pairs of shoes that fit him. All of these are a size 9 to 10 which his what he wears. How absurd is this????? He also has about 6 more pairs at his Granny and Papas house. She feeds his addiction as well.

Not to leave out my FULL OF ATTITUDE baby girl. Carter was playing with the camera this morning and he took this picture of Bentley and I thought it was sweet. Should I be worried that she MUST be wearing some of my jewelry at all times when we are at home? (LOL)

McWane and Chuck E Cheese

Long time, no blog, I know. We have been busy just doing the usual, so not too many pictures worthy events. Last weekend Ginger and Camden were in town so we went to the McWane Center. Of course the kids loved it.

Today after we ran some errands I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese and Joseph met us there for a little while then we went to have lunch at Red Lobster.

Nashville

2 weekends ago, the girls and I went up to Nashville to Jennifer and her new place. We had a BLAST, like we always do and a HUGE thank you to Joseph for holding the fort down while I was gone. It's SO NICE to spend time with just the girls. Every mommy needs a break with quality girl time.
