SNOW 2009

Carter enjoyed playing in the snow today! His friend Cole came over and they played and played.

Bentley stayed inside while the boys threw snowballs at the window; she thought it was so funny.

Carter and Daddy

Ginger and I went out for a little while with the boys and built a snowman and threw snowballs. It was beautiful, but I enjoyed viewing it from inside. It was really cold.

Blue Marker Anyone?

Reason #101 why you don't leave a 14 month alone for 1 second

This Brought Tears to my Eyes

The other night before going to bed, Carter got in trouble for calling me stupid (he was just kidding around, but I had to punish him so he knew I was serious about not calling people that) I went to take a bath and I told him not to come in there and that he better be asleep when I got out. I did not hear him crying anymore and I knew he asleep, so when I walked out of the bathroom this is what I found

He was sound asleep next to the bathroom door. Bless his precious heart. I can't even explain to you how guilty I felt for punishing him.

Miami

Last weekend Joseph and I went to Miami and had a great time. I can't tell you the last time we went somewhere just the two of us. Last summer we went to Chicago with friends, last winter we went to New York, with friends and we always go with the kids to the beach, so it has been a while and I really enjoyed it :) The night before we left, we attended a banquet at The Club honoring Joseph who was nominated for Young Engineer of the Year. He did not win, because he actually has a life and is not nerdy enough :) (LOL) at least that's my take on why he did not win. I am very proud of him and he was very honored to be nominated :)

We left bright and early Friday morning and once we landed, we got our rental car, which did not excite Joseph; a Chrysler 300...

He dropped me off at the mall while he went to inspect his job. I enjoyed taking my time shopping all alone :) We then checked into our hotel and went to dinner and then walked around South Beach. Saturday I really wanted to take a boat tour of celebrity homes. We saw UNBELIEVEABLE homes. The lots started at $6 million and the homes averaged around $25 MILLION! A few were Rosie O'Donnell, Michelle Phifer, Shaq, P.Diddy, Vanilla Ice (before he lost it), Gloria Estefan, Oprah, Tom Cruise and many others. This one was my favorite and the biggest one there. It was the home of Dr. Frost who invented Viagra.

After the boat ride, we went to the biggest mall I have seen in my life. Just to give you a sample of how big it was a few of their anchor stores were...Bass Pro Shops, Home Goods, Burlington, Ross, Macys and every other store you can think of :) It was a nice little getaway.

Last, but not least. Joseph flys somewhere ALL the time and I had no idea how it would pay off for me :) He is Gold status on everything from Sky Miles, to Hotels, to Rental Cars...therefore we had a free plane ticket, free breakfast at the hotel, which was $50 a day, free rental car upgrade, if you consider a chrysler an upgrade :) we got to skip the long line in airport security, first to board the plane. I could keep going, but can't remember everything. So, next time I want to complain about him being gone, (which he will every week this month) I will remember the "perks" next time I go somewhere with him!

Happy Valentine's Day

Carter was excited about his gifts.

Bentley not so much...

but she soon discovered she had something

I LOVE YOU...

AND YOU!!!

The kids enjoyed their gifts. Carter got the Batcave, a leapster game, stuffed animal, book, and other little things. Bentley got a busy ball game, clothes, pajamas, a book, stuffed animal, and some little things. Joseph and I are celebrating next weekend in Miami where I will spend the day shopping while he is at the job site. I am very excited to shop ALONE!!! Hope you all had a Happy V'Day!

Can you feel the Love?

This was the best one I could get of them this morning. Needless to say, Bentley was not feeling it and Carter kept laughing saying, Bentley is a whiny baby and that made her scream LOUDER!

This was at Carter's party at school. Looks like the roles have reversed :) Needless to say, we survived the day of getting 13 heart balloons, a teacher gift, and 13 Happy Meals (all correct mind you) from a man who spoke very little english, and a Valentine's Party for 3 and 4 year olds :) Both kids passed out on the way home so I am enjoying some peace and quiet!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

25 Things About Me

I was tagged on Facebook to post this, so I thought I would share it with my blogging friends as well ;)

1. I am doing this because I have been tagged about 25 times and I feel bad.
2. First and foremost, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and there in NO OTHER WAY to heaven than through him!!!!!!
3. I was baptized with one of my best friends, Marsha, and I will never forget it and that is a special bond we will always share :)
4. I have the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
5. I am living my dream by being a stay-at-home mom to my two precious angels, whom I thank God for EVERYDAY.
6. I never knew unconditional love until I became a mommy and it also changed the way I felt about Joseph.
7. I LOVE sweet tea, especially from Chick-fil-A.
8. I think I could eat breakfast from Chick-fil-A everyday and never get tired of it.
9. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE childrens clothing. I would love to own a children's boutique, but would not want to work there :)
10. I am obsessed with vacuuming and doing laundry everyday. I think clothes piled in the basket is gross. It drives Joseph crazy, because these 2 things must even be done on the weekend.
11. I love my church, Westwood Baptist, and all of its wonderful staff and members.
12. I wish I did not worry so much about the future and things that I have no control over...I'm working on it.
13. I LOVE the beach, but hate the sand and the humidity.
14. I am a very loyal friend.
15. I wish I was a crafty person, but I am not. Believe me, I have tried :)
16. If I could do it all over again, I would have majored in Interior Design.
17. Sometimes I wish I would have "gone away" to college and had that experience, but then I would not have met Joseph or my wonderful friends.
18. I have a Master's in Elementary Education, but got pregnant while doing my student teaching and then started staying home. Maybe I will put it to use one day....MAYBE :)
19. Before I had kids, I LOVED to shop, but shopping with kids is not so much fun. Thank God for technology and online shopping, its the best.
20. I HATE when people think their child is "the best" and does everything perfect and can do no wrong. Those kind of mommies get on my nerves.
21. Sometimes when I look at all the toys in my house, it gives me a panic attack. We have WAY TOO many.
22. I love that we talk openly about God to our kids everyday and Carter makes reference to him on a daily basis and hopefully Bentley will as well when she is older.
23. My husband has so much drive and is such a hard worker and I hope Carter learns good work ethic from him. There is nothing worse than a lazy man who doesn't put his family first.
24. I feel so blessed to be able to experience the best of both worlds having a son and a daughter.
25. Our house is a perfect example of: mama's boy and daddy's girl. I find myself defending Carter and Joseph always defends Bentley :)

Wow, that took me forever!!
