My New Business

This new business is what has consumed my time for the past few weeks. This summer I told Joseph since Carter is in school full time and Bentley going 3 days a week I wanted something to do. I have a Masters Degree in Elementary Education, however there is no part time work when it comes to being a teacher, so doing that was not an option right now. I told Joseph I thought it would be fun to open a Boutique, however its really expensive and I dont want to work retail hours, LOL, so that was out of the question. Then I came up with the idea of being a "Traveling Boutique" and bringing the boutique to people through home shows, trade shows, and facebook. (Hints the name, Wardrobe on Wheelz) I sell womens boutique clothing, but not boutique prices. Grandma's Surprise 80th Birthday Party

Friday, my beautiful grandmother turned 80 so we threw her a surprise party last night at the country club. Her sister and her side of the family drove all the way up from Orlando and to say she was surprised would be an understatement! She looks GREAT for her age and certainly does NOT act her age. She and my grandfather still travel all the time and get around great. I know I am so blessed to have my kids know and love their great grandparents. We spend as much time as possible with them, because I know they wont be here forever. We all had a great time last night and I know she had a wonderful birthday!

Once again, I have not done a good job keeping up with the blog. We have been busy doing things and I just haven't taken the time to update it. Carters favorite thing right now is Legos, thats all he wants and thats all he wants to do. He was so proud of this battleship and he did all by himself, he was so proud!

Baech Summer of 2011

We spent last week at the beach and had a great time. We drove to Perdido Key first and spent some time with The Bentleys before heading to Fort Walton. We spent the night with them then spent the next day at the waterpark. Sadly, I have no pics from that. Carter LOVED it, the faster the slide the better for him :) Bentley, not so much. She only liked the wave pool ;) We left the park about 4 and headed to our condo in Fort Walton where we stayed the rest of the week. We stayed at Waterscape again, the kids LOVE it there, especially the lazy river where they spent most of their time :) We ate lots of yummy food and enjoyed being together!

Atlanta

Joseph goes to Atlanta every week for meetings, so the kids and I tagged along one week in July. We spent 2 nights there and took the kids to a Braves game (sooo hot). Then the next day I took them to The Childrens Museum, pool, and then we ate dinner at Chicken and Waffles (my new favorite place when I am there since going with my besties in March) and we made a stop by IKEA. I had never been there and they have free babysitting for an hour while you shop. Neat place, but very modern, just not my style. Carter thought Atlant was so cool, because we could walk everywhere, however he had TONS of questions about the homeless people. Joseph and I used that as a time to talk to him about the many blessings God has given us and the importance of a good education. I promised him when he gets older we will go to New York which is MUCH "cooler" than Atlanta ;) We had a great time and traveling with the kids is much more enjoyable now that they are getting older.

Surpring their Daddies at the airport

Joseph got back Sunday from another 10 day trip to Brazil on a Medical Mission Trip. It was a LONG week, but I knew what he was doing was worth all of it. Many people were treated, but more importantaly many were saved. Our church had yellow arm bands for members to wear in order to pray for the team when they saw them and Carter had his on and around day 3 of Joseph being gone he took his off and I asked him why and he said, "Everytime I look at it, it reminds me of Daddy and I start crying because I miss him so much." Talk about heartbreaking...all I could think about is how many people out there lose their spouse and have to explain to their children that they are never coming back. REALLY makes you realize how important family is and how blessed we truly are to have another day.

Last week Trisha and I took the kids to McWane to check out some of the new exhibits. They have alot of cool new things and the boys LOVED the zipline. They did it multiple times. Bentley was too interested in Cooper to do it :)

Bentley had her first recital. She looked so precious and loved every minute of it. When I first found out I was having a girl, her first dance recital is one thing that popped into my mind. I loved every second of the whole 60 she was on stage :) She said she wants to take it again next year and she is doing gymnastics this summer. She had her first class last week and she did really well. She has good balance. So, we will see how that goes.

Another season has come to an end and I just realized I have not posted many pics from this season, if any. I will put some on here when I get a chance. They had a good season and Carter ended with a homerun and the game ball. They had a swim party at one of the players houses. It ended up being rather chilly that day, but they didn't seem to mind.

Never in a million years would I have guessed that Carters 6th birthday would go down in history as one of the worlds worst natural disasters. April 27, 2011 was the day HORRIBLE tornados struck our state and the images will remain on our minds for years to come. So many peoples lives have been turned upside down and I strongly encouage you to give tangible items, money, or your time to help get these poeples lives back in order.
On a lighter note, that famous date was also the day my baby boy turned 6. How can it be? Didn't I just bring him home and in a few months he will be a 1st grader!!

We had a WONDERFUL Easter! This is my favorite holiday aside from Christmas, because this is a special day that reminds me what an awesome God we serve and how He is alive and the peace and comfort it brings to me and my family!! Carter had a party at school Thursday, Friday we went to lunch with Josephs grandmother to The Bright Star, Saturday we had an egg hunt, and Sunday after church we went to Josephs parents house to eat lunch, swim, and hunt eggs where the kids each got over $50 in their eggs.

Spring Break

I know I have been a bad blogger and an even worse "photographer". So bad that I dont have 1 picture from Spring Break :( We went to the McWane Center, Jump Zone, Montogomery Zoo, and I had a girls trip to Atlanta. The kids had a fun week and the break from early mornings and traffic was nice. The weather was great and made me really anxious for summer. I promise to do better with pictures and blogging :)

Presidents Day weekend was a 4 day weekend for Carter, so we decided to head down to the beach. The weather was PERFECT, 70 to 75 during the day and a little cool at night. We had a GREAT time. I was not very good about taking pictures. We were there Thursday thru Monday, but you would never know by my pics, oops :)

Dance Pictures

I had my first experience with dance pictures today, while Bentley looked so pretty and was more than thrilled to wear "make-up" (blush and lip gloss) I thought it was CHAOS. It doesn't take much to stress me out, but getting her ready and dealing with Carter who wanted to be ANYWHERE but there did me in. Bentley got scared when we went in the room, so I had to bribe her and she picked a "mousekateer and coke" aka 3 Musketeers, works for me :) After that was confirmed, she did fine. I only got these 2 shots, but will take better ones the day of her recital in May. She LOVES dance and I have enjoyed watching her. I added a new pic to the title and a new background in hopes of an early Spring. I am dreaming about the beach and warmer weather!

This is an update with only one picture, but to be honest we have not really been anywhere picture worthy, except a few birthday parties and I forgot my camera :( Yes, we are still alive and well. I am so ready for January to be OVER! Its too cold to go and do anything. Jan. and Feb. are the two hardest months to be a stay-at-home mommy. I cant tell you how many times this month I have thought about going back to work. Once Spring gets here I will be fine and even more fine when I can spend the summers poolside with kids and friends :) Carter will be 6 in a few months, cannot believe that. He is doing GREAT in school and I LOVE his school. I was so excited last week when they called and told me Bentley got in next year. So, one stop shop next year. Bentley is getting bossier and sassier as the days go by and Carter just gets sweeter ;) He is so ready to loose a tooth. He starts baseball next week and Bentley is excited to take "Jim N' Nicks" aka gymnastics this summer. No clue why she calls it that, but that wht she says everytime. We STILL have our house on the market and will keep it up through the summer and if nothing happens we will re-do some things and stay here a few more years and try again when the market is better. But, we will just wait and see what God has in store. Joseph is still traveling alot which makes for even LONGER days, but it will be better when the weather warms up a bit. Thats the latest on us. Hopefully I will have some pics to post sooner rather than later.

White Christmas Day

This year we had a White Christmas, what a great Christmas gift :) We had a VERY BLESSED Christmas. Santa made his stop leaving a DSIXL for each of the kids (yes, Bentley can play it, she got one last year, but they wanted big ones and the new red ones) karaoke machine, electronic drums, keyboard, DS games, stroller, TONS of Mario "stuff" TONS of Tinkerbelle "stuff" games, dolls, clothes, ect, etc.... Then we headed to Granny and Papas where they got more Mario and Tinkerbelle, Doll House, Guitar, Wii game, scooters, big wheels, bath toys, and more. After that we went to my step-dads mothers house where Carter got cars, trucks, and legos and Bentley got 3 baby dolls. That night we went to moms where they got a doll car seat, doll carrier, baby doll #21 (LOL) dance stuff, bows, and more. Carter got walkie talkies, shirt, shoes, fire station, trucks, and more. We all had a LONG, but fun day. Joseph and I got lots of stuff too :) Its easy to forget about yourself and get caught up in them .

On Christmas Eve we went over to Josephs grandparents house for the kids to open thier gifts there. Carter got a block set that he LOVES, some books, and lincoln logs. Bentley got Princess stuff, books, and Lincoln Logs as well. Then we came home and made Gingerbread Cookies for Santa (Josephs first time making cookies with the kids, fun times :) We made a birthday cake for Jesus, then went outside to watch Santa ride down our street on the firetruck then headed to church.

It is truly hard to believe its been 3 years since my baby girl came into this world. She has been such a blessing in our lives. She is HILARIOUS, sweet, loving, and a handful all at the same time. Bentley, you are the best Christmas gift we have ever recievd and I thank God for you everyday. I am so glad he chose us to be your earthly parents. Our families came over to eat lunch and cake with us on Saturday!

We had Bentleys 3rd birthday party yesterday. We had a baby doll party at the Country Club. The girls played babies and got their nails painted. I think everyone had a great time and I truly appreciate all of our family and friends joining us to make her day special. After a morning of shopping, we bundled up and headed to the Iron Bowl. That was my first one to ever go to and WOW...that place was CRAZY. It was so loud with almost 102,000 people there. Even though we lost it was still exciting and for me to say that is VERY rare :) Carter had fun and was a trooper to bare the cold weather.

Thanksgiving Part 1

Carter threw up all night the night before Thanksgiving so we did not go to my dad's moms side of the family because there are alot of little kids down there and I didn't want Carter to share his germs. We just went to Joseph's grandparents house and ate then went to the nursing home to see his other grandmother. That night the kids spend the night with Granny and Papa so Joseph and I could go shopping the next morning. We are doing Thanksgiving with my family tonight.

Grandparents Day/Veterans Day Program

Yesterday morning was Grandparents Day and they did a Veteran's Day Program as well. Yes, Carter's grandparents were there, but I have no proof of that...oops :) He drew pictures of them, and made them a special little gift.

We had a great Halloween. Carter was so excited, he got to wear his costume to church. Guess who was Luigi...his best girlfriend, Marlee Grace :) That evening all of our best friends came over and we ate pizza and brownies, then headed out to trick-or-treat. The kids had a great time and the adults were worn out...LOL!

We took the kids to the Pumpkin Patch last weekend. We went to one we had never been to before, but wont go back. It was alright, not much for them to do, but they did get to ride the train, which they enjoyed and it was alot closer.

Carters class has been learning about the Rainforest for a few weeks now. Last Friday they had a "Rainforest Party" where they tasted many things and made different things all with stuff found in the rainforest. It was really cute and the kdis loved it!

Carter went on his first K5 field trip a few weeks ago to the zoo. The weather was perfect and he had a great time. He wanted to walk around with John and Sam, so their moms and I ran through the zoo with the boys. They were so excited and used the map to go from one site to the next, so funny. I only got 3 pictures, because we were so busy :)

This little guy (and his parents :) came to stay with us last weekend. All the guys went to game while all the girls and kids came over here where we partied from 8:00 am until 10 pm....long day, but so much fun. Once the older kids got here and played the pictures were no more. Bentley LOVED having a baby at her house to play with :)

Labor Day Weekend - LA

Joseph and I spent Labor Day Weekend in LA. We had a wonderful time. We stayed at the Beverly Hilton where the Golden Globes are held each year (for free thanks to all the traveling Joseph does :) LA is such a neat place and never in my life have I seen so much money. Almost every other car was a Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborgini, and the list goes on and on. I'm sure we saw many celebrities, but the only 2 we spotted for sure were Jennifer Anniston and Michael Lohan.

We took a tour and he took us up here for this beautiful view

He took us to see TONS of homes which were hidden and hard to photograph, for obvious reasons. This one is Dr. Phils house. Also in his neighborhood...Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Russell Crow, Nicolas Cage, Johnny Depp, Jennifer Anniston, Tom and Katy, and many more

Then we went over to Bel Air, where we saw this famous house...ring a bell????

This house is the reason I wanted to go to LA...look familiar??? Its the "Walsh" house from Beverly Hills 90210, my all time favorite show. However, this house is not in Beverly Hills, actually about 20 minutes away.

Then, we drove another 20 minutes in the opposite direction where we found this......the place where they film the show The Office. Joseph was so excited, this is his favorite show. It is in the middle of nowhere and NOT on a great side of town.

Here are all of their cars. Too bad we were a day late, they were outside filmimg the day before.

We also ate at some really famous places and had some GREAT food. This is a Japanese place where the Kardashians eat all the time on their show. There was paparazzi all outside this place, but we didn't see anyone that I recognized.

Another famous place, where you tell the waiter what kind of food you like and he picks your meal for you.

And of course you can't go to LA and not eat a Pink's hot dog. We stood in that line for 45 minutes, and yes it was totally worth the wait!!

We had a great time and I have many more pics, but these are some of the highlights. Our tour guide told us the day before we went he had a group of high school girls from Canada and they stopped and looked over and it was Mark Wahlberg who I have loved since his Marky Mark days..LOL He got on the bus with them and said hey to everyone. I could have died when he told us that. He also shared many other celebrity encounters with us :)

This little girl was a "Dancing Queen" yesterday at her first dance class. She stood on her circle and did exactly what her teacher told her to do. I was so proud of her, but most importantly, she loved every second of it :) There were many crying and 2 left halfway through, but she said bye and never looked back (which doesn't surprise me at all) I am looking forward to next week :)

First Day of K5

Carter started K5 Wednesday and its so hard to believe how fast the years have gone by. I truly have enjoyed all of our days together, some were very long and hard, but I would not trade staying home with him for anything. I feel so blessed that I have been able to experience all of his firsts with him and walking him to his classroom on the first day was no exception. I woke up at 3:30 that morning and looked over at him and started to cry. However, once he got up and ready he was so excited that it made me excited. I look forward to all that God has in store for him and I am soooooo excited about where he is going to school. I think Joseph and I are going to be very pleased.

This little girl on the other hand, not happy about waking up 2 hours earlier than normal and not happy about leaving "Bubbie" behind. Her look says it all...LOL

My observations of private school so far (this is all new to me, I went to public school)...EVERYONE is a car rider (there are no buses) which makes for a 30 minute carpool line, alot of the parents (mom and dad) bring the kids to school and walk them in (I assure you that will never be us :) very little diversity, but everyone has been so nice and friendly.

The day before Carter started school I wanted to spend the day with just him (I even let him pick out his outfit :). He got to pick what we did and first we went to Chuckee Cheese and played games. Then ate lunch at Pizza Hut (CC pizza is AWFUL) then he wanted to go bowling. After that we stopped by Nonna and Grandans office for a surprise then headed to Target for a new toy :) We had a GREAT day!!

I had the kids pictures made the other day and I dont know how I'll ever decide. She maily took ones of Bentley, for her 2 year old pics and I wanted one of Carter for an oil painting. However, I dont really like any of him. He has a fake and cheesy smile in most of them. I think I will have his redone. I guess Carter took this picture of Bentley this morning. This is her bed head and what it looks like every morning. Good thing she doesn't complain about getting her hair fixed. Thought it was too funny not to share. This look also says it all for her mood today. Lets just say this day resulted in me calling her school and signing her up for MDO 3 days a week next year instead of 2...LOL...this girl wears me out, but I love her more than she will ever know!!!!

4th of July Weekend

Our friends Jay and Trisha invited us to the lake this past weekend for the 4th. We had a great time, all 22 of us. Trishas parents have a BEAUTIFUL house with plenty of room for everyone. I didn't take many pictures, there was too much going on. Carter LOVED the Sea Doo, I dont know how many times he and Joseph went out on it. Lucky for him my parents just got 2 of them, so Im sure he will get plenty of use out of them.

Does Peanut Butter get gum out of hair????

Yes it does!! Thanks to Carter who "accidentally" put a huge wad of gum in this babys hair we found that indeed p'nut butter works, however it doesnt keep your child from screaming and crying throughout the process and its not good for kids with p'nut allergies that later resulted in a dose of Benadryl....never a dull moment :) All better!!!

This past weekend we went to Fort Walton with some friends. We stayed at Waterscape and the kids LOVED it. It is a great family place. We will certainly stay there again, however dont know when that will be due to the oil :( We only went out to eat one night which was so nice. Brain cooked seafood for us every other night and it was so good. The last night we were there we went to Harry T's for my birthday, but rushed through the meal because Carter stared running a high fever. It only lasted 24 hours...some sortof fever virus I guess.

So I decide that for Father's Day I will score big points and get Joseph an I-pad. Me being highly technically challenged and frankly uninterested thought I could just go to the store and get one. Here is how it went. For time sake...AE (Apple Employee) M (me)

Arrive at the store....

AE- Do you have an appt.?
M- Um no, do I have to have an appt. to enter the store?
AE - At this time...you may step to the side (Me and about 15 others are standing by the door)
AE - All of you without appts. may enter the store now. (People RUNNING into the store at once almost knock me and Bentley down)
M- I need an I-pad
AE - Ok, which one are you interested in?
M- Theres more than 1?
AE - Um, yes mam, there are actually 6. (he proceeds to explain, it goes in one ear and out the other)
M - I'll take that one....(No clue which one it was by the way :)
AE - LOL...we dont have them here, you can reserve one. When we get the one you want we will call you, could be a week or 3, just dont know.
M - Oh, you dont have them here?
AE- Most people know we dont keep them in stock...would you like to reserve one?
M - Sure (We walk to the computer and he types in something)
AE - Whats your Apple password?
M - Huh, apple password, whats that?
AE - If you do business with us, its customary to have a password
M- I have no idea, guess I dont have one. How about I just let him pick one out and order it.
AE - Sounds like that might be your best bet, obvioulsy you are not familiar with the way we work.

WHAT??? Are you kidding me? That store is CRAZY and those people are snooty that work there. Why are people so obsessed with technology (my husband being one of them). I called Joseph and told him what I did and I was trying to surprise him. He said I dont even want one. WHAT??? I give up. I told him thats all I had in mind, so happy fathers day with no gift :)

I realize its been a while since I have updated. We manage to stay busy these days....mainly for my sanity :) We have VBS next week and I am a director again, so that will keep us busy and the week after we are going to the beach, hopefully beating the oil. The house is still for sale without much action, bad time to try and sell a house. We are giving it through the summer and if it doesnt sell, we will stay here a few more years and do some things to it that we have been wanting to do. I love our neighborhood and neighbors and especially the pool.....

It has taken him time to warm up, but he is swimming again and going under. He is my cautious one.

We went to the Mcwane Center with my friend Trisha and her son Cash to see the new Mr. Potatoe Head exhibit.

Last weekend Trisha and I went to Nashville to see our Best Friend Jennifer and meet her new addition, Cade Stephens...isn't he adorable! We had a GREAT time, fun girls weekend.

End of the Year Program

Carter had his End of the Year Program last night. It was a patriotic theme, so I thought Bentley should coordinate as well :) It was a great little program and VERY entertaining. Each class sang 2 songs then everybody sang 2 songs.

End of the Year Party

Carter had his End of the Year Party today, how can that be possible? I honestly remember the first time I laid eyes on him like it was yesterday. Carter gave all his friends a "Congrats Grad" balloon and a sandbucket filled with summertime goodies and his teacher a gift card. In just a few short months he will be going to "Big School" After YEARS of stressing about it (Marsha and Joseph are glad I finally decided, they got to hear me talk the most about it) we decided to send Carter to private school. It has been a VERY VERY VERY hard decision, but I am excited about it and feel at peace with our decision. He will get out at 12 next year, so I am excited about that. The school is not very close to our house, so I think he will stay after school for a few hours so I can have some sortof a life aside from living in the car :) As for now, let summertime begin :) We are starting with a trip to Toys R' Us for Carter to pick out a graduation gift.

We took a spur of the moment beach trip last week. Josephs mom called at 9:30 Tuesady night and asked if we wanted to go...who says no..LOL! Joseph was in Georgia (his 2nd home) so he drove over Thursday night after his meeting and his dad came down Friday. We had great weather and a wonderful time. Thank you Granny and Papa!!!

There is no greater gift than being a mom. I thank God everyday for these 2 wonderful blessings. I had a great Mother's Day weekend. Joseph gave me the whole day off Saturday. I got a pedicure, got my eyebrows waxed, went shopping, and had lunch with my wonderful grandparents, and shopped some more. Of course when you have the time to look, you never find anything. I got a purse and 2 swimsuits. My real gift will come when I get an oil portrait of Carter. Now that he is 5 I am going to do one and I will do Bentleys when she is 5. Joseph took this picture at church and Priss Pot would not sit with us, she said "I stand right here"...its already started :)

The season has come to a close for The Cubs. They finished with an 8-2 record, but most importantly had fun. They all did a great job. As Carters season comes to a close, Josephs church softball season is just beginning, so we will still spend many nights at the ballpark watching daddy. So long baseball, until Fall Ball begins :)

Muffins with Mom

The 4 year old classes at Carters school had Muffins with Mom on Monday. They sang "Mommy Loves Me" to the tune of Jesus Loves Me. It was so sweet and Carter did a great job. He gave me a flower pot he painted along with seeds to plant some flowers in. (I hope I actually do it :) His teacher made us scrapbooks from all of the events throughout the year, which I LOVE. He has grown so much and lost his baby look. He has had a great year and I am so proud of him.

Where Oh Where does the time go? My baby boy is already 5. He has turned into such a handsome, smart young man. I gave him the option of staying home or going to school and he chose school. He shared Batman cupcakes with friends and got to visit the "Birthday Box" I forget how important the little things are at that age :) That evening we went to Cracker Barrell (his choice) with my family and his friend Cole. Hard to believe in just a few months he will be going to Kindergarten.

Carter's 5th Birthday Party

Carter had his 5th birthday party last night and had a great time. All of our family and friends were there to celebrate. We feel so blessed to have each of you in our lives. He got tons of stuff and believe it or not, nothing he had. My neighbor always says she hates to buy for my kids because they have everything and I told her this proves my point, he didnt have anything he got :) We have had the threat of bad weather today, which as usual, nothing came of it, so having all of his new toys made the day easier to survive :) I can honestly say he LOVED everything! He got Star Wars stuff, Ironman and Batman stuff, The Tag reading system (Bentley got the Tag Jr., which is precious, cant leave her out :) DS games, books, the Joker House and many more. He had a great birthday and thanks again to everyone.

This title of this post has been our life the past few weeks. Either a game or practice and a birthday party thrown in there about every weekend. The cubs are still undefeated with 3 more games left. I haven't brought my camera to every party, but I did remember it Sunday for Cash's 4th birthday.

Last week Granny took the kids and I to the beach for a few days and we had a great time. The weather was perfect the whole time. Something down there sent Bentleys asthma and allergies into overdrive, but thankfully I brought the inhaler, so all was well.Have I ever mentioned that I have THE BEST mother-in-law? She treats me like her daughter and I really enjoyed spending time with her. Thanks Granny for a fun trip. Daddy and Papa were "working" in St. Croix, so we took our own trip :) J/K they really were working ;)

Mickey's Rockin Road Show

Last weekend we took the kids to see Mickey's Rockin Road Show. To say they loved it would be an understatement, especially Bentley. The look on her face was PRICELESS and she danced and danced, it was ADORABLE! It was a great show, the best one like that I've seen. Carter enjoyed the characters from Toy Story and Bentley loved all of it. The older girls in the crowd all gasped as Cinderella came out. We are going to Disney World again in October and I know Bentley will love it even more this year.

First Game, Go Cubs!

Carter had his first game last Saturday and it was so much fun to watch him. He had 10 people there who came to support him and he was so excited. Joseph is head coaching this year and he was made for that. He is so good with them and he has gotten many emails and praises from the parents about what a good job he is doing. I think that makes it all worth it. Papa is Carters team sponser this year and he was so excited to see it on the back of his jersey. After the game he ran out of the dugout screaming, "I won Mommy!" and they did win, Go Cubs. Going to be a fun season.

The Easter Bunny

Saturday night we took the kids to see the Easter Bunny. Bentley was sooooooooo excited to sit in his lap. Well, in years past that hasnt worked out so well.......

So, when we got there she saw him and started waving with the biggest grin on her face. The closer we got, the grin slowly started to fade, Carter hopped right up in his lap and she freaked out, screaming NNNNOOOO! I picked up her and she stared waving again. I told her I would get in the picture with them. So we walked up and she said, "I sit Bunny lap" and she did and she smiled. Could not believe it! That is HUGE progress for her. She was SO PROUD of herself and so were all of us. Carter hugged her and said "big girl sissy." SO, from then on she was obsessed and waved to him forever and of course didn't want to leave.

After that we ran into Strasburg to get her a bow for her Easter dress and they had Blues Clues on, Bentleys favorite. I look over and they were doing this and since I had my camera thought I should capture the moment, so sweet!
After that we ate dinner at Jason's Deli then went to the much talked and raved about Yogurt Mountain. Cool place with any and every topping you could ever want, from cereal to pop tarts. Cold stuff is not my weakness so I had a few bites of Josephs and the kids. It was really good. I just watched the MASSIVE crowds that came in and out while they all ate.

Yesterday my sister-in-law and my cousins wife Meredith, took the kids to the zoo. It was a beautiful day and felt great outside. Didn't get many pictures, too chaotic :)

Atlanta

Joseph had a couple of meetings in Atlanta this week, so the kids and I decided to tag along for a few days. As always, it was interesting :) After eating dinner on the way there, Carter got stomach cramps and screamed the last 45 minutes there that his stomach hurt, then as soon as we got there, he was fine, go figure :) After unloading the car and watching the HUGE fish at the hotel (which consumed Bentley the whole time, if we looked at those fish once, we saw them 1000 times) I asked Joseph where the pack-n-play was and he said he didnt bring it. Bentley has never slept with us and I hope she never does, so she likes her own space...I told him to find the nearest Target or Babies R'Us and go get one. This conversation lasted about 30 minutes and as you can imagine, he was none too happy...:) There happened to be a Target 5 minutes from where we were staying. Well, did she sleep in it...for about 4 hours and that was it for the night. Joseph left early for his meetings so the kids and I went ahead and got up, since no one slept, and went downstairs for breakfast. Carters comment..."Atlanta is the best, because they have breakfast downstairs" We then went back to put on swimsuits to swim in the indoor pool, which was cold and didn't last long. Later on we ordered room service and then the kids took 3 hour naps :) When Joseph got back we went to the Aquarium which Bentley LOVED (she loves ANY animal) and Carter comment at least 50 times, "this place is boring, why did we come here?" Then we had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and called it a night. That night Bentley did sleep in the pack-n-play ALL night...thank you Lord! The next morning we took them to the Children's Museum, which was so neat and they LOVED it. Carter said it was much better than the aquarium :) We had fun and it was nice to have a chnage of scenery.

Two Birthdays and a Baby

This past Friday my wonderful husband celebrated his 30th birthday. Im sure it wasnt spent the way he planned, at a baby shower, but he had a good day. Last weekend we went to his parents house where we had filet and chicken along with Edgars yummy cake. Friday, his family and the kids and I all met at Red Lobster and had lunch. Later that evening we threw a baby shower for my very best friend Jennifer and Scott. They will welcome baby Cade into the world in May and I am so happy for them. We all threw a couples shower at Leannes house and we had a great time, as usual. I told Joseph that even though this wasnt his ideal birthday, thats who we would have spent it with anyways :) I did surprise him at the shower with a strawberry cake from Edgars...is it obvious we LOVE Edgars?

Saturday afternoon we celebarted some more, this time in honor of Jacksons 1st birthday. The kids had a great time and he obviously enjoyed his cake. Then Sunday, my parents kept the kids while we went to J. Alexanders for dinner. We had a fun weekend spent with best friends.

We Are Still Alive

My mom has been on me about not blogging and I just haven't been in the mood. We do have alot of "happenings" at the Davis house so here is an overview. We put our house on the market and have a showing tomorrow, so that consumed alot of my time, getting that ready and fixing some things the realtor suggested and so on. Keeping your house "showable" is NOT fun with a 2 and 4 year old. We haven't had too many picture worthy things going on, lots of birthday parties and I haven't remembered my camera half the time.

This little man is playing T-ball again this year and he is so excited. Joseph is coaching and it looks like "The Cubs" are going to be a pretty good little team. I LOVE watching him play, but I do not love chasing Bentley ALL over the park :) He will also be 5 next month and I CANNOT believe it. He wants to have a "jump" party again with a Star Wars theme. The other day he said, "Lets look at invitations and plates on the computer." Haha, yes, he is my child!

This little monkey who was at a gymnastics birthday party and would NOT look at me has big news...SHE IS POTTY TRAINED! That was seriously the easiest thing I have ever done. Actually, I feel like I didn't even do anything, she did it. After three days of a few accidents, she has been dry ever since. I have always heard girls are easier, and with Bentley that was so true. I am so proud of her and she did it without any bribes or rewards. She also started crawling out of her crib and I was sooo not ready for that. I lowered the rail on her crib so she wouldn't be jumping from so high up, but she hasnt done it in over a week, so who knows.

We got some snow yesterday and the kids enjoyed it for a while, until their mittens got wet and they were cold. It really was beautiful, but Im glad it only lasted a day :) I am SOOOOO ready for warmer weather!

Carter's class had thier party yesterday right as the snow was really coming down and as soon as they announced they were closing the schools early. So, they ate their pizza and heart shaped donuts quickly and we rounded up ALL of our goodys from his friends and teacher and headed home to play in the snow.

Just wanted to post a couple things Carter said that I dont want to forget. This was our conversation yesterday....

C- Can I take my own snack to school today?
M - Sure, why?
C- I just dont feel like our school snacks are healthy and I want to be healthy.
M- Ummm, ok (If you know Carter then you know carbs and sugar are main staples to his diet)-
C- Can we stop by Publix and get some bananas?
M - Sure

Later that afternoon, when I pick him up...

C- (Pouting) Why did you make me take a banana today?
M- I didnt make you, that was your choice
C- Well, today we had cheese balls for snack and thats my favorite and I had to eat that stinkin banana....LOL

Guess his quest to be healthy (have no idea where that came from)backfired on him.

On a more serious note. Tonight when we said our prayers we asked Jesus to bring Joseph home safely from the basketball game he went to and when we were done, Carter started crying and said "What if Jesus doesn't bring daddy home safely?" At that moment I felt my heart sank. He asked me about 3 times and I did not know how to answer him, so I distracted him with a book. My heart truly goes out to single parents of young children.

Bentley got her first haircut today. Bittersweet moment for me, I hated to see those first little curls go, but it was too stringy. Hopefully this will allow the front to catch up with the back, because she does have quite a mullet going for her. She was SO GOOD, never moved or made a sound. Afterwards we went to the park and then to have lunch with Nonna while Carter was still at school.

Early Valentines

Ok, I know I'm a TOTAL pushover when it comes to my kids and I have done it again. After we left MG's party, the kids were both feaking out because MG got Zhu Zhu Pets and they wanted to play with them. Well, that's what I got them for Valentines Day, so I called Joseph and told him to put them out so they would be suprised when we got home. He was like SERIOUSLY?? Can't they just pull them out of the bag and I said NO, make it fun for them. Needless to say he was not to happy about putting it together. They were so excited and LOVE them. They dont know the difference in the days at this age anyway. At least they can enjoy them for an extra month :)

Marlee Grace's 5th Birthday

Saturday afternoon Marlee Grace (Carter's girlfriend) had an all girl tea party, but wanted Carter to come so he and Tyler served cupcakes and punch to all the girls. I was most excited, because it was Bentleys first all girl party. We went Friday to buy her a party dress in which she chose Cinderella. She was not too sure about the dress at first, but eventually warmed up to it. She did not want her nails or face painted, she did however, get red haircolor on her hair...ha. She was too into playing baby dolls to sit still long enough. Marsha had it so cute for the girls and of course Carter was in HOG HEAVEN playing with Tyler all afternoon.

Monday was Carter's last day off from school (so I thought, before schools closed for "the snow") so we met Cole and Lydia at a place by our house to play. The kids had fun and Ginger and I enjoyed some adult conversation. We have a good year so far, except for this AWFUL weather we are having. I have a few goals for 2010 that I feel if I post I will be held more accountable: Potty train Bentley, I want Carter to be reading (or at least know most of the sight words) before he starts school next year, and I want to start exercising and get in shape. A 7 to 10 lb loss would be GREAT! Those are my 3 main goals, so we will see how they go.

New Year's Eve

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve that we spent with best friends. Scott and Jennifer drove down from Nashville for the night, but Jay and Trisha were missing: Cash is sick and Brian and Leanne weren't there: Leanne had a root canal and thought she would feel like coming. Although we missed them, we had a great time. The kids played, mostly with Chris and we talked and held sweet Lilli.

Last Christmas Celebration

We went back to Nonna and Grandans to open with my grandparents and cousins. The kids had a great time and we ate some yummy food.

Christmas Day

Well, Santa came to town in a BIG way. The kids got tons of stuff and loved EVERY minute of it, especially Carter. He was precious this year and his excitement was PRICELESS! Some of Carter's favorites are a DS, TONS of games, a North Face jacket (just like Daddy's)and a McDonalds drive-thru, "traffic" signals for his riding toys, and about 500 more things and Bentley got anything and everything Minnie Mouse they make, all the baby stuff from Pottery Barn Kids (highchair, cradle, ect) 6 dolls, 6 different Minnies and about 500 other things :) We all had a very blessed Christmas. I took 125 pics that day, so I'll share a few :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we went over to Granny and Papa's house and celebrated with Granny's side of the family. Jordan was there, so Carter was in heaven. After we ate and opened gifts, we went to church and a big THANK YOU to Marsha for saving us seats and entertaining my children :)When we got home the plan was to make cookies for Santa, but....the kids crashed. So, Santas plates looked like this all night (LOL, they never even knew it:)

First Christmas Get Together

Last Saturday we went to my brother and sister-in-laws house to celebrate with them, since they just had the baby. The kids had a blast and Bentley even skipped nap and did great. I got TONS of Emerson love and wanted to take her home with me. Carter and Camden felt the need to be dressed up the whole time which would explain their Transformer and Fireman attire in the pictures. We also celebrated Bentley's b'day again since they could not come to her party. This time it was a YUMMY Strawberry cake from Edgars. We had a great time and I wish they lived closer. However, 2 hours is not too far :)
